Happy Friday!

Hope you are enjoying the sunshine today.  Lots of things going on as we head into the weekend: A reminder that Sunday Mass times are 8am and 10am so that Fr. Peter can get to Beaver Island for the 12:15pm Mass.
If you can help usher at the 8am Mass on Sunday, please call the Parish office 547-6652 or let the on-duty Sacristan know before Mass starts.
We are also in need of help with cleaning/disinfecting the church after all the Masses. Please click to sign up here or call the parish office to let Mindy know you can take a slot. We need help at all Masses & it only takes a few minutes if we have 3-4 people to help out.
The Wednesday Lenten Formation Group Study from 6:30-7:30pm started last night. Please click here for the link to the trailer. If you are interested in participating next week, please call the Parish office: 547-6652. We also have a zoom option available.
This weekend we are going to try a “High-Risk” Mass for our parishioners who are high-risk or have family members who are high-risk. We will have the back entry doors to the church unlocked for entry and exit for the hi-risk people, and then the wooden interior doors at the back of the church will be closed so that the church vestibule will be cordoned off for the high-risk group. We will space out chairs in the back so those attending are socially distanced, and Fr. Peter will distribute communion to the people in the back first, and then return to the rest of the congregation for communion and the final blessing. The high-risk Mass will be at the 4pm Mass on Saturday, February 20. We will give it a try and then tweak as needed from there. Thanks for your patience as we figure this out.
Our first Fish Fry of the Lenten season is tonight, starting at 5pm. This year is take-out only. Come early for great fish from John Cross and coleslaw donated by Pigs Eatin’ Ribs. John Parish and Jerry Lauwers will be manning the kitchen tonight!
Absolute Catholic  just notified us that they are postponing their annual Men’s Conference which usually takes place in March. They are working with the speakers’ schedules and looking at later dates this year. We will continue to keep you updated as to when it will be rescheduled.
We are looking for some help with the 2pm Adoration slot on Thursdays. If you have an hour to spend with Jesus every Thursday at 2pm, please call the Parish office and let Mindy know.
Finally, Mr. Lloyd Himebauch and Mr. Ed Linse have birthdays coming up soon! Mr. Lloyd is February 24 and Mr. Ed is March 11. If you would like to send a card, their addresses are below or you can drop it at the Parish office for mailing. Enjoy your weekend. Hope to see you at the Fish Fry!
