Happy Feast of St. Francis!

Happy Feast of St. Francis!
-Please bring your furry friends for a blessing of the pets at 6pm on the Rectory lawn tonight and then join us for daily Mass at 7pm.
-October is Respect for Life Month as well as a month dedicated to the Rosary. Please join us before daily Masses and weekend Masses to pray the Rosary, or try to make a special effort to pray the Rosary with your family on a daily basis. You can find some great resources on praying the Rosary at Aleteia.org (I especially like this short excerpt from a mom of 7 boys shouting a decade in the van!).
Adult Faith Formation continues on Wednesday at 6:30pm. If you have missed any of the sessions and would like to catch up before you come, you can find the series on Formed.org.  All are welcome anytime!
-Father Peter will be hearing confessions on Wednesday from 5pm – 6:30pm.
This weekend is Food Pantry Weekend. Green envelopes will be in the pews and food donation baskets will be at the church doors.
Finally – calling all Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion – in order to stay current with the Diocese, all current EM’s (and anyone interested in joining this ministry!) do need to be retrained/certified this fall.  There are 3 more in-person trainings this month: October 5 – St. Mary Shrine, Mio, October 7 – St. Joseph, West Branch, October 12 – St. Anne, Alpena Beth Hicks from the Diocese has indicated that she will be doing a training via ZOOM sometime this month and Fr. Peter also has permission to do a training here so please stay tuned if you have not renewed your certification yet this year!
-Have a great day – Happy Monday!
