Good Monday Afternoon!

*Good Afternoon!

– Fr. Peter will be heading over to Alpena for the final Synod meeting with Bishop Walsh so there will be no Mass tonight. All are welcome to attend the Synod discussion at All Saints Parish starting at 6pm.

– Thanks to everyone who came out for our annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner, we served over 170 meals yesterday! We hope everyone enjoyed their corned beef & cabbage – thank you for supporting St. Mary School.

– We will be offering Adoration and confessions on Wednesday, March 20 beginning at 6pm. Fr. Peter plans to have 4-5 other priests here to hear confessions so please come if you are able to and get that confession in before Easter!

– The Knights of Columbus will be leading their final Stations of the Cross starting at 5pm this Friday.

– Next week, Holy Week, we have a few changes to the schedule due to the scheduled bridge closure Monday – Thursday. Holy Thursday Mass will begin at 5pm instead of 7pm. We are still waiting to hear from the Cinema regarding a change of time for the Passion movie so please stay tuned on that one. Thanks to everyone for your flexibility and understanding!

– Tickets are on sale now for St. Michael High School’s 3rd Annual Celebration Gala! The evening will consist of a silent auction, raffles, dinner, drinks and a live auction. All proceeds go to support operations at St. Michael High School. Please join in the fun and support our local Catholic High School!

*Finally, please join us as we pray day 9 of the St. Joseph Novena.
Novena prayer, March 10th – March 18th:

“Oh St. Joseph, most faithful spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and most faithful guardian of our Lord Jesus Christ, you remained obedient to the Divine plan and became the humble protector of the Holy Family.  Within your heart you held the greatest love for the hearts of Jesus and Mary.  Your fidelity and constancy are for us a demonstration and witness of the way every Christian should live out their call to discipleship, by keeping their eyes fixed on Jesus and Mary.  How well you knew their hearts and how faithfully you served them.
Intercede for us oh St. Joseph and show us the Sacred and Immaculate hearts, that we may live in ever greater union with God’s beautiful plan for us.  May our hearts beat in unison with theirs.  May our minds be enlightened by their inspirations.  May we spend all our strength in dutiful service of their holy will, and may we strive to live your fidelity, persevering until the end.  Oh St. Joseph, hear the intentions we now offer you (offer your intentions). Joseph most faithful, pray for us!”

May his intercession bring you protection, guidance and peace.
