 Just a few reminders & updates for the weekend ahead: A big thank you to everyone who donated to the bake sale last weekend for David Peck. We raised a little over $1,500 in donations here at St. Mary alone. Your continued prayers for Mr. Peck’s healing are much appreciated. St. Mary School’s Northern Lights, Auction with a Twist fundraiser is right around the corner – Friday, September 10th at Castle Farms. We need to get reservations going so please gather your friends together and join us for a fun evening! The event will include a silent and live auction, plated dinner, beverages, and an opportunity to support many local agencies at the twist table portion. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased on the St. Mary School website or in the Parish gathering space this weekend after Masses. We are looking for some help with Donut Sunday the weekends of 9/5 and 9/12. If you can help man the kitchen one of those weekends, please call the Parish office to let Mindy know – 231-547-6652. On Sunday at the 10am Mass, Father Peter will give a blessing to all teachers, educators, school staff and students as we head into the start of another school year. Please plan to attend if you would like to receive this special blessing! This weekend is also the Seminarian Education Fund collection. The Diocese sent out a mailing with special envelopes earlier this week and we will also have envelopes in the pews. Envelopes can be dropped in the offertory baskets at the weekend Masses or mailed back to the Diocese. Thank you for your support of this mission. Finally, the Diocese has updated some of their COVID-19 recommendations on masking. For the time being, masks are required by those distributing Holy Communion and are recommended during indoor Masses. Enjoy the weekend! |
