Good Afternoon! The sun is shining and the weather is supposed to be beautiful these next few days…Spring is in the air! Just a few things for the beginning of this 3rd week of Lent: Thank you to everyone who attended the Fish Fry last Friday. We have one more Fish Fry this season coming up on March 19. Speaking of food, St. Patrick’s Day is around the corner which means our Annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner will be held on Sunday, March 14 from 12-2pm. Once again the meal will be take out style only. Cost is $13 per person. The Lenten Formation Group Study continues on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm. If you are interested in participating this week, please call the Parish office: 547-6652. We also have a zoom option available. If you are unable to attend but would still like to watch the series, it is available on FORMED.org and the study guide materials are available here. Also, the 40 days Vigil for Life continues at Planned Parenthood in Petoskey. If you would like to sign up for an hour of peaceful demonstration and prayer, you can sign up here. Mr. Ed Linse has a birthday on Thursday, March 11. If you would like to send a card, his address is below or you can drop it at the Parish office for mailing. The Carmelite Monastery will begin a Novena to St. Joseph on Thursday March 11. The prayer is below. Finally, our Apostolic Administrator, Rev. William Hurley, has released a statement on morality relating to the COVID-19 vaccine which can be found on the Diocesan website. Have a blessed week! “Happiness can only be achieved by looking inward and learning to enjoy whatever life has, and this requires transforming greed into gratitude.” — St. John Chrysostom |
