| Hope you all have had a joyful week! A few things as we head into the weekend… We received a joint statement from the Michigan Bishops this afternoon addressing questions associated with the COVID-19 vaccine. Please take a moment to read the letter on the Michigan Catholic Conference website. We will be pulling the trees out of the basement starting Monday at 9am in preparation for Christmas decorating. Then on Wednesday (the 23rd) at about 10am we will start setting up inside the church – there will be lots of tree fluffing and lighting going on so If you are able to come help, please do! The St. Mary School Pre-K class is having a silent auction for the Christmas picture in the Parish entry hallway. If you are interested in bidding, please visit the auction website. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of an outdoor storage unit for the Pre-K outdoor play equipment. Knights of Columbus meetings are on an indefinite hold for the time being. Reservations are still open for the 7pm and 10pm Christmas Eve Masses, as well as Christmas Day on the signup genius page or call the Parish office – 231-547-6652. We could also use some usher help with the Christmas Eve & Christmas Day Masses. If you are able to help with seating and greeting people, please call the Parish office. St. Mary School collected 489 pairs of socks this week! The socks will be donated to the Elders in Tuba City, Arizona where former St. Mary School student, Katie Golski, works. The sock project will continue at the Parish through the month of January so keep an eye out for sales & stock up after Christmas! Finally, Father Peter’s article, “Let it Be Done” is available on the Petoskey News Review website. This position averages 12-15 hours per week from about 10am-12:30pm Monday-Friday.
